Worcestershire Care Group trains all its staff so they can work to the highest standards.
At the beginning of employment with us, all home care assistants attend an intensive 4 day induction that gives them the basic skills to do their work. This includes practical skills training in personal care, moving and handling, safeguarding clients, first aid, supporting people with dementia and out working with the clients with a trained mentor. At the end of this they are assessed for competence to work alone. Training continues throughout their employment with NVQs and specialist education.
Office staff have training to use our specialist computer programmes and to gain NVQs.
All staff with management or leadership roles undertake Institute of Leadership and Management Awards.
The company believes that staff cannot be expected to offer their best if they have not had the training to know what the best is.
